What to Give Your Cat to Drink
Often, cat owners ask whether to give their cats milk or water. For a long time, we’ve had it ingrained in our minds that cats drink milk (in most fairy tales, milk appears alongside cats), however, although some cats love it, it unfortunately does not positively affect their bodies (due to lactose), especially when consumed in large quantities. If we really want to treat our pet to milk, it is best to use the kind that is specially designed and prepared for cats. It can be purchased at any pet store, as well as at supermarkets in the animal food section.
Cats should be given water to drink. Of course, we must ensure that the water in the bowl is always clean and fresh. It’s best to change it several times a day (at least twice). If it is tap water, it would be good to boil and cool it before offering it to our pet. Let’s take care of our kitty and remember to keep the water bowl always full. Water is essential for health, both for humans and for our purring companions.
